Rochefort 6: our oldest beer

The story of today’s Rochefort beers began in 1950 with Rochefort 6, also known as the “Trappiste”.

Rochefort 6 is the lightest in the range and the ideal introduction to the rest of the Rochefort family.

Amber elegance

It is an amber beer, with a delicate white head.

It is best served between 12 and 14°C and is smooth and fruity, with a subtle blend of cereal and caramel.

Tradition and lightness of touch

The number 6 does not refer to the alcohol content; it comes from an old Belgian unit of measurement that expressed the density of the wort.
