Rochefort 8: the perfect balance

Rochefort 8 was originally brewed for the Christmas season in the 1950s and was nicknamed the “Spéciale”.

It soon joined Rochefort 6 and 10 in the Rochefort range of beers. It is still the most popular Rochefort in Belgium.

Harmonious aromas

Rochefort 8 is dark in colour with an off-white head.

It is best served between 12 and 14° C, revealing a harmonious balance between its caramel and dark berry aromas, its complexity and its alcohol content.

Balance and Sharing

The number 8 does not refer to the alcohol content; it comes from an old Belgian unit of measurement that expressed the density of the wort.
